Happy day .

Hey Hey it is Monday .
How was your weekend? Fabulous I hope .
Was it a holiday weekend ? Like a bank holiday or some such .
Well  I hope that it was spent happily  with family and friends .
Here in Adelaide it was great Autumn weather , perfect for outings .
Had a busy week , with general life stuff and have not posted since last Monday .
Thank you for calling in and a huge warm welcome to new and regular visitors alike .

I wonder if any of my readers can relate to a problem I have in the kitchen in connection to my weight watching .
As I have alluded I'm  trying to lose weight with out commercial pills or potions but just with smaller portions and limiting nibbles .
I thought that it would be easy with it just being Doug and me .
Well , I have had fun with some meals . Like making a shepherds pie in a small 17cmx 23cm baking dish instead of family size 25cmx40cm.
or making 250ml/ cup  of custard instead of 2 Litres. You get the picture ?

One thing I don't have to worry about is paper craft .
My card to share today
Using Soft Suede card base, Lili of the Valley paper.
Sentiment , SU ,Happy Day.
Bird and flower embellishments from my stash .
Image is free from Ephemera's Vintage Garden .

OH DEAR !! Sandy will pick this up ...I did not use the stamp-a-ma-jig.

Feel good about this mornings weigh in .

OH NO ..how can this be ..?
same as last week ..not fair!!

Catch you again soon , cheers for now , Shirley-Anne.

Male Silhouette

Hello there blog pals . Welcome to my room .
Thank you for calling in and to those who g+ my post or leave a comment here,  or on Pin , please know that I appreciate you taking the time to do so .

A real change in the weather here today . Woke up to rain . So no trip to the trails this morning .Instead we drove to a nearby coffee shop for our daily caffeine fix . Twiggy was a bit miffed that she did not get out .

Tried out my new die cut for this card
I have seen these silhouette images set on /in frames but chose not to do that this time
I saw this layout by Loll Thomson while browsing http://www.stampingwithloll.com/
and using different paper and image I hope that I made  the card  my own ..

Whisper White card base, SU . Papers , Marianne Design ,All For The Men.
Silhouette man , Marianne Design. Pipe  image from free stamps on magazine .

Still consider this rather a CAS style . Clever use of paper scraps too.

Now being Monday means that I must share this mornings weigh in .
This is a real incentive  for my continuing effort in weight loss ..no pressure !! LOL
From my first weigh in

Sympathy and Prayers

Hello there , welcome to my room .
Thank you lots for calling in .
Another awesome Autumn day here in Adelaide . Doug and I went along the Linear Park  trails aside  the River Torrens , right into the city. Had a picnic lunch along the way .

For this post , I am sharing a sympathy card I made last week .
No paper layer surprisingly. .

White card , green card stock and sentiment along with the ribbon   are  from  SU .
The  floral image topper and pearls  are  from Kraftyhands.
I believe the embossing folder used is a Couture Creations one .
                                        ---------------------------
Well,  I hope you liked that design for a sympathy card .As for me I am sure it will grow on me as I look at it more .
I cannot believe that we are fast approaching the middle of the year ..or that I have not made many Christmas cards yet. Must make a start! There , I have written that on my" to do " list .

Catch you again soon , cheers for now , Shirley-Anne.

Man and Dog

Hi there . Welcome to my room .
Thank you for calling in .

For my share card today I have used Kraftyhands ' Man About Town' CD

Card base is Natural Ivory , SU, while the 1st layer of paper is from my still growing stash and the gems from Kraftyhands. .  The image and sentiment with the 2nd layer of paper is actually printed from the CD at 75% reduced. This fits perfectly on my card 11cm x 15cm.
So if you are thinking that the card samples on the CD are too large for you to post/ mail ,  then try printing them out reduced in size to suit yourself .

    Hope you like it .

                                                              Found on line

Love the skin you're in

Hello to you all .Welcome to my room . I hope that you will enjoy your visit and that you will consider leaving some blog love .
All comments are read and appreciated .

It is as cold as a frog's pond here so the aircon is on for Doug and I have a bit of time for crafting . Actually creating a Sympathy card and kit for my fabulous crafty friends.
Will share that later on another day  .
Today being Monday it's  weigh in day and will show results at end of post .

My cards to share are a little ...errr, well , showing a little skin . But there is some cleanliness and some country,  so clean and green I think .
                             Tongue in cheek speak!!

I was given a pack  'A Little Bit Naughty Topper Set' from Mike at Kraftyhands  and these are what I created. A DL card and an easel card.
I used SU card stock with papers and bow , buttons and butterfly printed from Kraftyhands CDs

These fantastic naughty toppers are just the kind of thing to raise a smile on anyone's face! A little bit naughty and a little bit saucy, but still fun at the same time! 12 designs printed on 250gsm cardstock measuring approx 10cm x 14cm. They make the perfect card topper or addition to any scrap book project!

Now if you are still here and are interested , my weigh in follows .

Talk about up and down ! Still, I  lost most of what I put on last week so that has to be a good thing right ?
I tell you what though . I am finding it easier not to nibble when there are no lollies in my room , or chips or nuts or chocolate.

Catch you again soon, cheers for now , Shirley-Anne
