Edging and embossing .

HI THERE .
Welcome to my room . Thank you for calling in and I  hope that you take a moment to say hello .
Welcome to some new followers as well . thank you for joining me .
For last Tuesday's craft morning I experimented with a new purchase from SU.
The Edglits Adorning Accents and the Adorning Accents Embossing Folders .

inside card back
For the  card of Whisper White I adhered some patterned paper 4.5cm  onto another piece of card 5cm, leaving a small border. I then diecut that piece and embossed it . Sorry that is hard to see in photo.
I then adhered that   to the bottom of front at 3cm up . I then added some floral patterned paper to top part of card. I paper pieced the woman image and adhered it to a scallop oval placing that onto card.
Added sentiment,  Stamp-it,  and rhinestones from my stash .
Will need to practice some more with these products , I think .
Any way , hope you like it .

My thought for today .

Life is what we make it ,
and partly what is made
by the friends whom we choose.

Hope that your week is going well .
catch you again soon , cheers for now , Shirley-Anne.

Love these vehicle images thanks Judie from Digidoodle shop .

DigiDoodle Shop is the result  of a mother and daughter’s love for the arts and crafts.  It was started a little over 3 years ago with a little more than 100 stamps, and has since then grown to almost 500 stamps.  Joy (the mother of this team) designs realistic images, while Judy (aka/daughter) loves the “fun side of life”, and create images with a cartoon flair.  Having these two complimenting styles have enabled   DigiDoodle Shop to offer a wide variety of stamps.

The DigiDoodle Shop is giving away a $10.00 Store Gift Certificate to the lucky random winner!

A challenge

HI THERE .
Great to see you here . Welcome to my room .
Had a fabulous  craft morning with Fran and Sandy .Would have been happier if our coffee machine was behaving itself . it was telling me that the water reservoir needed filling , but I think that the float was sticking cause it was already  full . But we all got our cuppacinos  in the end .
I had made 3 cards and kits to share . My paper stash does not seem to be getting any smaller so many of my makes,  lately ,  are a challenge in themselves to make , as I try to use parts of 12"x12" sheets .
Had a go at making a man's card for a challenge .Except for the card base of SU Chocolate Chip and the Very Vanilla ,   everything else is from my ancient stash .
I actually enjoyed making this even though it is out of my comfort zone . That is , it is not CAS .

Congratulations and Happy Retirement are from  SU set Teeny Tiny Sentiments

The background paper and postcard, stamps , stickers and " typed Letters are from my stash . The men image is a vintage  freebie found on internet, while the clock face is from Stamp-It
I would like to enter this into

Stars and toy friend

Hi there , welcome to my room . Thanks for calling in and I  hope you enjoy browsing through my blog .
I really appreciate the addition of some new followers . Looking foward to seeing some new inspirational pieces , different styles and interesting posts .
Still freezing here in Adelaide even for Autumn . only 19 today I believe. Still , we went out for our usual walk for coffee and took our girls { Jacki and Twiggy } to the park for a run .
Then , happily , I  spent some craft time in my room .
To share this time though,  is a card I made for  my  craft  buddies and our workshop.

I enjoyed creating this little fun card .
I began with a SU Pacific Point card base . I cut out to the  fold a small panel from front .
I stamped star happy birthday [SU] and diecut circle frames x2 .I added dsp  to panels left on card front and the dinosaur.SU set , Dinoroar.
Turning to the inside , I added the other star happy  birthday exactly over the back of  the first . then added dsp and another dinosaur next to the circle for  sentiment .
I would like to enter this card in some challenges

Challenge#170 - Male Birthday Card    I think this is a fun card for boys

http://dreamvalleychallenges.blogspot.com.au/

Challenge 32 - CASE

I actually cased Sarah's card .I used the star and the toy friend as inspiration as well as it is a boys' Birthday card .

Hi there , welcome to my room . Hope that you and yours are enjoying happiness  in abundance.
Thank you heaps for calling in . I have had some really kind words left on my posts as of late and I  truly appreciate every single comment .
Had a craft friend here,  Friday,  for a couple of hours of papercraft therapy . Jane and I seem to finish the kits I prepared,  a bit earlier so we managed a couple of extra cards as well . A surprise for me too as Jane had bought me back a couple of 12"x12" papers from the south east  which I cant wait to use  .

Now this must have been my lucky week because I had a gift too from Tuesday's girls Sandy and Fran .

But for now I will share with you a card made with an image from our fab sponsor this week at the Make it Monday Linky Party .
This week we are being sponsored once again by the ever fun and cute Meljen Designs Digital Stamps!

The other teamies have fab projects to share too, for your viewing pleasure,  so please visit them too.
The hardest part of being on a DT is having to choose a POTW from all the wonderful , inspirational and extremely talented papercraft artists.
My POTW....

because they give you
opportunities for improvement.

Monday with Bugaboo

                  HI  THERE.
Another Monday and another Linky Party.  So welcome to my room ,thank you for calling in . Hello and thank you  to the new followers of my blog . Please leave a link to your blog in a comment so I can visit you too .

Now I don't know where this week has gone . After working in our own businesses, 7 days a week  for too many years and having to be ultra organised you would think that retirement would be a breeze. I mean we no longer have opening or  closing times ,worries about absent staff or rosters , or  book work to fit in between raising three children .We can lie in till 7am and have meals when we are hungry and go to bed late if we choose .
Apart from being a full time carer for Doug , my time is really my own . But do you know , I think that I manage to fit less in my day now than I ever have . Are there any retirees out there that  understand and can explain ? Before I know it the week has gone and I have only managed two posts .

But again I digress, when I meant to jump right into this post with gusto!!  I say that because I really love Mondays when I  can share a card with you , my pick from last week's entries and this new week's prize .

My card for this week on Make it Monday  is ..

Sorry about the glare .Just could not find an angle that worked .
                                                        Better for the inside .
I loved these two images ,The Side Chair and the Rose Can from Bugaboo ,so much that I combined them for this card. The card  base is from my stash of gloss card and  images were printed onto Whisper White . I coloured with copics.. The sentiment is from Stamp-it. The butterflies are left overs from a punch session with a MS punch.
Our fab sponsor this week is
                                                  http://www.bugaboostamps.com

Everything That You Ever Wanted to Know About Bugaboo Stamps: A Short Essay

That was two years ago. Today Bugaboo Stamps is one of the leading companies in digital images, and we're still growing! From seriously snarky to sugary sweet to sublimely soulful all the way over to the other side of the super sexy spectrum, you're bound to find all that you need and more to create your paper projects. Jodie works very hard to provide New Releases and Freebies every week! "

If your taste runs to rubber (and you know who you are), you can find Bugaboo Stamps at Totally Stampalicious. And finally, join the Bugaboo Stamps DT for weekly challenges at Catch the Bug.

Bugaboo Stamps are offering a very generous prize of winner's choice of 7 single digis!

I do hope that you will call into my teamies blogs to share some blog love too.
Thanks to all the bloggers who joined in last week to share their papercraft projects with us .I think much of my time goes on trawling through some amazing artists' work.

http://buysassystudiodesigns.blogspot.com.au/

Sassy Studio Designs is a fresh new company. We have been designing and selling for 2 years now, and we have been kindly received into the community of digi stampers and crafters. I started designing images shortly after I started stamping, reason being...I didn't hardly like anything else out there I was a young adult woman at the time I was engaged, had no kids, I wanted fun sexy images that I would enjoy using and my friends and hubby would enjoy receiving. I designed images for 2 other digi stamp companies when my wonderful hubby kept trying to get me to go out on my own. So in June 2009 thanks to the few faithful followers I had, Sassy Studio Designs was born! It has been a wonderful journey starting my own store. We have just grown so much these past months.I still try to keep

Lindsay Dyer: keep with my original philosophy and reason for designing stamps, make them fun and keep them sassy...and yes sometimes even sexy!

Lindsay

The winner receives 4 images of their choice
